THE TRUTH ABOUT PROPHECY

(March 2024)

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.  (Psalm 122:6)

As Israel continues to move toward the center stage of prophecy, the “Church Age” will end at the rapture. God set Israel aside temporarily when Christ started His Church during His earthly ministry to be His representative and authority until the day of His return “for” the saints in the clouds. Israel had rejected Christ as The Messiah but will soon see Him and fall before Him in national belief at the end of the Tribulation Period of seven years. GOD HAS GREAT AND GLORIOUS PLANS FOR ISRAEL. As all nations rise up against Israel in these last days, God will come to her defense and then Christ will rule and reign for a thousand years on this earth. This is in the BOOK, the Word of God, and it has never been wrong about anything. It’s just a matter of time. Meanwhile, God has promised to bless those who honor Israel and pray for her. If America turns against Israel, she will ultimately fail and pay dire consequences.

THE TRUTH ABOUT PROPHECY

As has become the “new norm” and our country continues to shake their fist in the face of a holy God,

once again “Gay Pride Month” has begun. This is not a passing fad…it is here to stay until God gives our world up as He did once before, declared in Romans 1:24,26 and 28. Our children are being brain-washed and re-programed to call good evil and evil good. Christ’s return is at the door. Look up! Our redemption draweth nigh.

Jer 6:15

Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.

Pro 16:5

Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.

Isa 13:11

And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

“These six things doth the LORD hate: sea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look…” (Proverbs 6:16,17a)

The truth about prophesy

WILL CHRISTIANS LIVING TODAY GO THROUGH THE TRIBULATION PERIOD?

For God hath not appointed us to wrath,

but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ. I Thessalonians 5:9

The Tribulation Period (seven years following the “rapture”) will be the pouring out of God’s wrath upon sinful men (unsaved people who have rejected Christ as the Messiah). God poured out His wrath at the flood and the evidence is over-whelming. He will finally pour out His wrath by fire. BUT…there is one other time that God poured out His wrath upon His own Son on the cross. Why? That we might be saved (delivered) from His wrath. “The wages of sin is death.” (Romans 6:23). Christ suffered the judgement of God the Father for every sin that was ever committed or would ever be committed and for all men who have ever lived or would ever live. When we receive Christ as Savior by placing our faith in His life, death, burial and resurrection as the God-Man, the blood of Christ makes atonement for our sin. We are delivered. Salvation is free, full and forever!

He shall see the travail of soul and shall be satisfied. Isaiah 53

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. Colossians 5:21

There is therefore, now, no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus… Romans 8:1a

And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come. I Thessalonians 1:10

For the LORD himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds; and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words. I Thessalonians 4:16-18

EVEN SO COME LORD JESUS!

And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up and lift your heads; for your redemption drawers nigh.

Luke 21:28

THE RAPTURE IS AT THE DOOR! THE TRUMPET IS ABOUT TO SOUND! THE CLOUDS ARE GATHERING!

“BUT LET US, WHO ARE OF THE DAY, BE SOBER, PUTTING ON THE BREASTPLATE OF FAITH AND LOVE; AND FOR AN HELMET, THE HOPE OF SALVATION. FOR GOD HATH NOT APPOINTED US TO WRATH, BUT TO

OBTAIN SALVATION BY OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.”

(I Thessalonians 5:8,9)

For each prophecy of Christ’s first coming, there are seven that prophecy His second coming. Jesus said Himself in John 14:1-3, “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE RAPTURE AND THE revelation of Christ

I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 19:11-16

Christ’s literal and visible return is “at the door.” As the song writer wrote “…signs of the time are everywhere…” Even non-Christians feel that “something has got to give”…well, that “something” is SOMEONE!

Adrian Rogers, who is with the Lord now, said, “I am convinced that there are some things in the book of Revelation that will not be known until they are unfolded. Some prophecies await fulfillment for understanding. The bottom line is this: Jesus is coming, and I am certain of that and very, very glad. I have resigned from the program committee, and have moved over to the welcoming committee. Even so, come Lord Jesus!”

We are now witnessing the “stage” being set for the last and greatest event in the history of the world. The return of Christ is in two parts divided by seven years call the Tribulation period. The “rapture” has to do with His coming “FOR” His saints while the “revelation” has to do with His coming “WITH” His saints.

We must remember, however, that most of the prophecies have to do with the second part of His return, the “revelation”, therefore, the “rapture” is imminent. The first time Christ comes “for” His children, He will come in the clouds and we shall meet Him IN THE AIR. The second time, seven years later, He will return “with” us TO THE EARTH to rule and reign for 1,000 years after the Battle of Armageddon.

Christ came to earth as a “Lamb” to sacrifice His life to cover our sins with His blood and provide His righteousness for us to receive by faith. His cradle rocked the world!

He is coming back as “THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH” to settle the score once and for all.

We are beginning to feel the pressure mounting in our nation and around the world. Note: Matthew 24:1-14. But “God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7). We need not panic. We who know Christ and believe the Bible, which has never been wrong about anything, have confidence, courage and “peace which passeth all understanding.”

THE FUTURE IS HERE!

Prophecy right before our eyes

It is good for us now and then to review the prophetical events chronologically on God’s “calendar”:

  1. RAPTURE (I Thessalonians 3:13-18; I Corinthians 15:51-58)

  1. THE TRIBULATION PERIOD (7 years) - The Tribulation is a future time period when the Lord will accomplish at least two aspects of His plan: 1) He will complete His discipline of the nation Israel (Daniel 9:24), and 2) He will judge the unbelieving, godless inhabitants of the earth (Revelation 6 - 18). The length of the Tribulation is seven years. This is determined by an understanding of the seventy weeks of Daniel (Daniel 9:24-27; also see the article on the Tribulation). The Great Tribulation is the last half of the Tribulation period, three and one-half years in length. It is distinguished from the Tribulation period because the Beast, or Antichrist, will be revealed, and the wrath of God will greatly intensify during this time. Thus, it is important at this point to emphasize that the Tribulation and the Great Tribulation are not synonymous terms. Within eschatology (the study of future things), the Tribulation refers to the full seven-year period while the “Great Tribulation” refers to the second half of the Tribulation.

  1. BEMA JUDGEMENT FOR CHRISTIANS ONLY -        (2 Corinthians 5:10, Romans 14:10) - Christians will not be judged for their sins for they were judged at the cross (I Thessalonians 5:9,10)

  1. BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON - Revelation 14:14-20; 16:16; Zechariah 14:2, 3, 12

  1. SATAN BOUND FOR 1000 YEARS - Revelation 20:1-6

  1. REVELATION OF CHRIST - Revelation 19:1-16

  1. MILLENNIAL REIGN OF CHRIST - Isaiah 2:4; Revelation 20:4-6

  1. GRAND FINALLY -   Revelation 20:7-9

  1. ETERNAL DESTRUCTION OF SATAN - Revelation 20:10

  1. THE GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGEMENT (ALL UNSAVED) - Revelation 20:11-15

  1. NEW HEAVEN AND NEW EARTH - Revelation 21:1-5

  1. FOREVER WITH CHRIST!  I Thessalonians 4:16-18; Revelation 22:1-7, 20
